Hi- I apologize if this question is answered elsewhere, I could not find it. I have a 37 Lincoln Zephyr, and we adapted power rack and pinion to the original steering column. So there is a U joint at the bottom of the column as it exits the firewall. So my question is, is it possible to use the horn button on the steering wheel? I know the wire is stationary at the button (using the ring), but how do I rig the wire at the bottom of the column, so it won't get tangled up in the U joint? Hopefully this makes sense. There must be a way to do this I figure, as so many street rods have these types of steering racks....feeling a little on the dumb side with this question ...thanks
funny how a guy with nothing in his user profile is bitching about a new guy with no intro. as for your horn.. I don't know how your Lincoln is set up, but 49 Chevrolets had the wire for the horn coming right out the side of the column. it didn't matter what was going on at the end of the column.
Who's bitching about what? Funny how a guy that acts like he can read proves he can't. Go back and look at my profile and tell me there's "nothing" in there. The take a laxative or something, seems like you're all bound up. As for the OP's horn, like I said, there was just a tech article written last month on this very subject.
