Hello everybody, i've been flickin through The HAMB posts for months and decided to join in the action. I think i have linked a picture of my current project; A 1960 Chevrolet Apache panel truck. I have been working on it for around 5 months and have added a chevy v8, 10 rear axle and lowering springs, disc conversion with drop spindles made new engine mounts, gearbox crossmembers propshaft etc. I'm in the middle of bodywork at the moment which is never a job i enjoy!!! By the way i was thinking of painting it satin black with a white grill and roof plus old skool signwriting. Any thoughts on this colour combo or other coulour combos are welcome. Pictures of other wagons like this would be nice to see also. Take it easy, Steve.
Hello again, just realised that photo hasn't worked. I'm not too sharp with computers but this link should work. http://s201.photobucket.com/albums/aa204/TINKERDUKE_2007/?action=view¤t=chevy002.jpg
Welcome to the HAMB from a former Brit. Good looking truck, lots of other Brits on here too, where you based?
Hi Dave, I'd like to move to the States myself one day, but dunno if it will ever happen! I live in Cornwall about 15 miles from Lands End! In my opinion its the best part of England as its so laid back and not as over populated as "up the line"! By the way the picture of the truck is what it looked like before i started work on it- What colours dya reckon would look good? Steve.
