Technical Rim width with firestone 7.50

    Hi! I'm gonna use firestone bias ply 7.50*16 on my ford -35 16" wheels. The rims are 4" wide, and coker tire recommend 5-6". Does anyone use the same tire without having your rims made wider? Just wanna know before I make them wider, if it's necessary or if they will work just fine at 4". Thanks!

    My Model A coupster had 7.50 16 Firestones from Coker on 35 wires and it was fine. Pics in my albums on my profile page.
     
  3. Yes loads of people are running original wires and 40's rims with firestones...no probs at all.
