ok so i have a 62 chevy2 changed rearend and hubs to a 64 nova 2 to get more options with tires an rims but their does'nt seem to be many more options any advice yous can give is appreciated i was told 15x7's on rear with 225/60's 4.5bs and 205/60 on front with a 15x6 i was also told that 15x5s with 3.5" of backspacing on the front. The rear tires are 215/65-15 and the fronts are 165r15. A little more backspacing would help, so you might look for 5" b.s. if you haven't bought rims yet.A 25.5-26" tall tire looks nice on these cars. It fills the wheel wells nicely.
I think u answered ur own ? I had a 63 SS and not to many options for those little cars, I had some OT weld draglites on mine 15x7 4.5inch bs with a 235/60?? and a 15x4.5 with a 135 tire up front more race look than cruiser, good luck with the search.becareful on the backspacing on the rear. you dont want to loose the rim dish, it will make it look like the front rim is deeper than the rear. my 2 cents
It sounded like two people talking in that paragraph. 15x7 with 4.5 backspacing. you can go from 7s down to 3.5s on the front. I have 16x7 with 4inch backspacing with alittle narrowing on the 9 inch and 15x4.5 on the front. Gonna put 155/80s on them.
