Hello guys I’m in the process of refreshing a 327 which appears to have been recently rebuilt with very little wear. The pistons and rings vey clean and it look like it hadn’t been run much as the rings still have some black coating in edges and crosshatch still present in cylinders. The bore is 4.030” and the pistons are TRW forged. I checked top ring gap and am coming up with 0.020” which is just sho of 0.005” per inch bore diameter. The second seconded rings are similar. Piston to wall clearance is 0.005-0.006”. Is this excessive? I was going to purchase a new set of Hastings cast rings but will hold back if my Gaia are ok. Thanks

It's fine, sounds like low limit spec. As it wears/breaks in it should be perfect.
