    Yes, in a way. One could subs***ute the words ‘our world’ with ‘our generation’ as that really captures what ‘our world’ mainly consists of. Those a little either side of our age have been who we have most identified with over our lifetimes. We are traveling together on the ‘Train of Life’….but our destinations vary. One by one we arrive at our journey’s end and we step off the train.

    We all know this very well…..but do our best to dwell on the good things in this life in the meantime.

    I went to an Ascot Reunion @ Perris Speedway in 2005, they had vintage race cars running some laps, Al was driving the Vel's Ford, and Parnelli was in the "Tamale Wagon". It is a 1/2 mile dirt track, and Al's car had 1 mile gears, he couldn't get that 4 cam Ford, up on the pipe !

    Big Al going through Turn 5 at Road America. I can say I had the
    good fortune to watch Al race both here and at Indy. Sad news.
