Chris, I sure it ain't that ****** easy as you claim it to be, **** we all know your middle name is FORD! Nick.
Naw, I know it won't be a cake job, but it's been done a million times before...so it can't be TOO hard
Haha!!! I got this message from him last light on my voicemail, he was like "hahahaha your so dead, i mean.........I don't even know what to..........say. I open the box and the thing flops onto the floor. I was so freaked out!!! You and Chris are Dead!!!".
Said it before and ill say it again, Geez, I LOVE that car......esp with the banger. Well if youre going Flathead, spill the beans Chris...what are your plans for the ol boiler? Rat
It's a 1934 221 with an orriginal Thickstun. I bought this engine completly rebuilt, it is all new inside and has never ran. Backing it will be a later Ford three speed. Also going to the 32 "heavy" axle, spindles, wishbones and brakes. Rear end will be a 37-40 unit. These pics show it with an Edelbrock regular manifold.
Simple cars for simple minds..... Quit ****in' around and get to work on the coupe....with the OLDS! Something that'll keep up with a VW...... That's BAD*** that you drove Bruce's car....I'll admit, I'm a bit jealous. That car, to me, is the BEST DAMN roadster, old OR new........EVER!
Those two images give me goose bumps!!! C'mon now, is there really anything prettier then an undropped '32 heavy or a '37 V8-60 axle??? I think not!!!
Chris, I think you are making the right move.. I too cringe at the thought of a heavy axle dropped and drilled..
I got nothing against a dropped heavy axle, their beautiful...I just could not bring myself to drop one thats a nice orriginal. Once they are done...their done!!!
Now that's funny! So you got that thing running yet Chris? I mean, you've had at least 28 hours or so...
I just think the shape of an undropped axle is so much more pleasing to the eye. I think that why I grew attached to the ch***is the Rolling Bones made popular again. I have a nice '32 heavy that is just hanging in the garage for my '32.
I sold a nice one cheap not too long ago...shoulda kept it looking back now....and DROPPED it. Better than an aftermarket one.
What have you been doing???? I think I'm rubbing off on you dude. You were such a dedicated young man at one time. Get to it!!! I am counting on you to make me look like a complete *** hole by doing a complete engine and suspension swap before I can even put my brakes back together.
I've been busy tearing early Ford front ends completly apart! Man, it takes some work, but somethings gotta pay the bills!!!
