RIP Andy, condolences to the family. I was at Andy's picnic in 78 or 79 at Vallejo with my wife we drove our Willys and got long distance award. Had to change the regulator and was at Roy Brizio's shop doing it. Great bunch of guys.

Andy was my hot rod hero. I read the early R&C road trip articles and it made me want an early rod. I was able to meet him on the 2012 Rodfather Tour.
All these years later, I'm able to say I've logged nearly 200k, mostly trouble free rod miles.
    Andy, thanks for the memories.

What can you say when a man raised a great family, had a tremendous work ethic, was a terrific businessman, hosted picnics known the world over and so much more. What a life well lived!
    Godspeed Mr. Brizio.

Gosh... So many memories of this great guy. From Half Moon Bay thru Fremont, the old S.F. 'Instant T works', more lately at Roy's shop and a few times with Pat (Ganahl) and my son Rich.
Funny...Some things you think will always be there...Andy and Pat, for instance.
Godspeed, my friend... Tell Pat I'll be there.
    Roy: Deepest condolences. -'Uncle Mike'.

I'll never forget p***ing Andy in his roadster in 2015 or so when he and a bunch of the other Bay Area Roadsters drove to Texas for the Lonestar Roundup.

Met him in the early ‘60s and didn’t realize who he was until much later. He gave me the advise at that time that it is harder to something simple well, like using a bolt to do two things.

If you look up Hot Rodder in the dictionary, there should be picture of Andy Brizio there.

Andy and I exchanged pleasantries in Detroit 1972.
He was exiting the liqour store as I was entering. Good memories.

Sad day when you see that, My condolences to his family and close friends.
I'm in that group who has followed his hot rod exploits since day one of him showing up in articles or rod trot photos. Those road trips across the country were legendary and an inspiration to many of us.
Throw in, the number of folks who built a T bucket in the 70's that didn't study photos of his builds for hours on end has to be pretty small compared to those of us who did.
