We lost a true hot rod icon in the mid south area..Ed Woodard p***ed away 12-1-14 at the age of 77. He leaves a son, daughter in law and two granddaughters to mourn his p***ing. Ed, from Nashville, Tennessee was a longtime car guy and personally promoted early car shows in the 60's in the Memphis and Nashville areas..He was instrumental in ***isting in organizing the annual Mid South Rod Roundup in Gatlinburg, TN that continued as the largest rod run in the United States (approx 1500 cars) until the late 70's. He was known by so many nationwide and will be sorely missed. He was employed by Holley in Bowling Green, KY at the time of his death. Visitation will be held Saturday 12-6-14 (10AM to 4PM) at the Hermitage Memorial Gardens in Hermitage TN. A memorial is planned for the spring or summer of 2015. I've known Ed since 1972 and he and I have traveled many miles together and I will certainly miss him...He was loved by all that knew him....as ole Ed would say: "See you later, my friend". God Bless you Ed and may you rest in peace..Respectfully posted, Joe Klinkhardt
