Ah, yeah me too, that's too bad. I subscribed earlier this year and have enjoyed reading the couple I have gotten so far. Haven't gotten this last one yet, but, I'll pay even more care to it than before now. Sad. Hope it is for a relatively good reason and wish him all the best.

:(I too just got the letter, what a bummer, out of all the mag's I get, that's the only one i could leave laying around. My wife said ... see, there ia a car mag that is without all the ****t. It was my favorite for sure.
When I ordered back copies or something like that, I got a check then...
John said he over charged me on shipping or something. I thought at that time would any other company have done that ? Truth is..hardly.
I knew then what a standup guy John is... I too will NOT be cashing the check. Thanks John for a great run and hope it comes back around when the time is right. Prayers to your family for the health concerns.

I wondered why I haven't seen this mag on the stand. I loved this mag. I was going to renew my sub. but didn't get it sent in in time. John I wish you the best. I hope all go's well. If you return to printing this mag again count me in for a new sub.

Yeah, that's too bad. It was a good little mag representing the little guy itself and the show's off the beaten path. I as well will not be cashing the check.

    Sad news. Right decision.

John, you possess an exceedingly rare quality these days - INTEGRITY.

By the way, your check's in the mail - "bouncing" right back at you just to say THANKS!!

Heard you had some time to work on your taillights recently.:)

  12. I too am a subscriber and will miss the magazine. I sent John an email advising that I would be destroying the check and he could use the money as he sees fit. I'm sure he will have expenses related to the closing. I do not know John, but I have communicated with him by email. He is very honorable. How many people today, would close shop and refund subscribers their money and pay bills?

Thanks John for all your hard work.

Better to have tried and failed then never having tried at all and wondering what if for the rest of your life. Good on you for trying John. All the best to you and your family in the future.

Just got my letter (was expecting it) and like the rest the check is going back. What a cl*** act. I have supported several mags with subscriptions that have gone under and NEVER had anyone refund my balance.

You have instructions to spend my ten spot on that little girl.

Sounds like you've got your head on straight as far as whats really important.

Ya man that sad It was a killer mag. My buddies blue A coupe was in the issue with the last pileup and mine was next to it, I really will miss that mag

  23. I got my check today. I'm disappointed as the rest because I enjoyed the mag. Because of the way he has handled the closing, he could restart and most of us would be more than pleased to send him money and start over. Good luck John and Suanne.

"Better to have tried and failed"

Sorry this comment bothered me .. and couldn't let it be:
John DID NOT FAIL, in fact he succeeded and then in closing succeeded again as a man with great integrity and one deserving much respect. This in today's world is not very common, John is a rare breed of man!

I got my letter today as well. WOW. What stand up guy! I will not be cashing my check either. Consider it a donation. I am sure it will be put to good use! GOOD LUCK

So sorry to hear of its closing...it was a good mag...my check will be returned as well. Family first, then job and play time...he's made the right decision and I certainly wish John and his family good fortune.
