Just saw on IG that Michael-John Bakotich, aka MadMook, p***ed away. While I don't know him personally, we interacted a number of times over social media and he seemed like a solid guy. His name was always one that would come up as a go-to source of info and speciality services pertaining to Nomad and Safari wagons when I would be discussing them with folks. His company, MadMooks, seemed to be the be-all, end-all resource for everything pertaining to the Nomad/Safari lift gates, offering straighening services, aftermarket hinges and strikers, and so on. More than anything, the guy is probably in his late 30s or early 40s, which is way too young to go. Deepest condolences to his family and friends.
Sad for sure. i loved watching his You Tube videos in and around Lake Havasu on the car scene with his father who he referred to as MookDaddy. Way too young! Condolences to his family!
Sad to hear. I know Robert (@MP&C ) bought trim for the 55 Wagon he has been building and had good things to say. His name always seemed to come up when someone was restoring a Nomad, for sure. RIP.
That's sad to hear. Spoke with him on the phone a while back, about Nomad parts and services. Always saw lots of good comments about him, and the company. It's real sobering to hear of someone much younger than you p***ing away. Condolences to his family and friends.
