May he rest in peace. I've been a long time admirer of his work like so many others and he always seemed to get it right.
If a man leaves a son that loves him enough to want to stay in his vocational path...that is a really great man and Mr. Foose did just that. Chip I hope you have a lot of great memories.
That's a shame, taken too soon. Remember reading about his cars before Chip came on the scene. Sincere condolences to Chip and the Foose extended family. May God Speed.
Condolences to the Foose family and friends on the p***ing of Sam. He certainly had a Customizers Edge...Those are some pretty cl***y vehicles. @HEMI32...thanks for the memorial too Sam and sharing some of his Craftsmanship with us. Regards, Stogy
Sam Foose was a very talented builder and I don't think I've ever heard an unkind word said about the man, he will be missed but he will also be remembered as one of the greats.

He p***ed his love and knowledge to Chip who received it graciously. Sincere best wishes and sympathy to all of the extended Foose family.
I had the brief pleasure of meeting him while on the R&C sponsored Americruise in '97 . He was a pleasant man and attentive to our conversation , sad to hear of his p***ing . Condolences to the family .
Condolences to the family. Always enjoyed and admired father and son working together and how the torch was p***ed from father to son.
I first read about him when Bud Bryan was building the R&C '29 Hiboy. Prayers going out to his family and friends. R.I.P. Bob
I saw Chip's post on Facebook and was overwhelmed by it. A man of vast talent. He followed in the Valley Custom school of thought and did major changes so subtly that you could study it for hours before realizing all he had done. I remember a 41 coupe he chopped about an inch and a half but laid the full height windshield back just enough to drive me crazy finding just what he did. It's great that Chip followed in his foot steps and used the teachings to even further advance the Foose brand. I only met Sam once, but it was a game changer for me. RIP Sam and thanks for your legacy!
Foose`s Fords Does that ring a bell. Sam`s work has inspired me more than his son`s. Then there`s the Yellow 40 Ford panel. And so many more.
