Had a scammer in Texas try the parts are on the truck an nothing shows up. The *** has my money but he doesn't realize I know where he lives. I grew up in the area so road trip and I show up on his front porch an nicely request my parts with a local deputy beside me. Parts in hand had a nice trip home.

several days later and still nothing back from the OP as far as if it was a Hamb transaction or not.... I really can't quite figure out why he wouldn't want to give a little information to help others so they don't have the same thing happen

Opposite, bought a pair of Fenton valve covers off of FB, when I asked if I could pay Venmo or any other transaction he told me he would send them out, if I didn’t like them to send them back on his dime, otherwise send a check. 200$ + ship CD4CF298-90C3-42EA-AFE9-C76DE0CAA41D.jpeg BF469020-F742-4E60-8DAF-272D4C32CA09.jpeg

What - feedback doesn't disappear until long after claims are made.

Actually had the same thing in my state as well - guy posted a set of 4 well used rear tail lights with buckets in the picture - he sent me some old cracked up Glow Brite lenses that were on the buckets - I needed the buckets and hell I've got the new Glow Brites. Saved the sell pictures that clearly showed the buckets - we traded messages a few times but he wasn't going to return the $100.00......funny he had his address on the package - did a goggle search - really not a bad house to visit.

I bought a decent windshield and frame at a swap meet many years ago. It had a fairly large sticky label type of sign on it stating “32 windshield” price etc. when I got it home I used a heat gun to soften and remove the label. Yup heavy scratches under the label rendering the windshield useless. ***hole.

Those photos that you see on the news are those of trains that were loaded at the LA/Long Beach intermodal port terminal.

The United States Postal Service does not use trains out of that port for international shipments.

All international shipments go to the Los Angeles International Service Center, by truck, for processing.

USPS does us rail for long hauls, but not from there.

Other common-carrier services use that rail segment, though.

I am now confused about the relevance of this comment.
I seem to be missing something, OP says he ships to a buddy in the US……….
And some are talking about international shipping.

A little OT but relevant. I caught the local Post Office stealing a package. I'll make a long story short. After contacting USPS Customer Service with my proof, I had my "lost package" 21 minutes later. UPS has been working well for me ever since.

Did you read the comment that I was responding to? I think you might have skipped by the context.

The poster and others claimed by that the trains held just outside of be the LA/Long Beach port, an international port, which has made international news, have been getting robbed of postal packages.

    They are not.

Postal packages are not transported by train out of that facility. They are transported by truck from that facility, to the LA ISC.

Postal in the US means the United States Postal Service, a government en***y, and no other service.

yes, and twice you specifically mentioned ‘international’ shipments, when 34 Gaz didn’t, - hence the confusion.
    Thanks for clearing that up.

  12. I sometimes sell on E-bay, and The HAMB. If my customer is unhappy with his purchase, I offer him to return the item and I will refund his money as well as his return shipping cost. My reputation is more important to me than the money.

  13. I do this exact same thing. Photo of addressed box and tracking receipt and send to buyer.....

In spite of everything going on, the USPS still handles about 173 million pieces of first cl*** mail each day and all my bills seem to get here right on time. I think they do a great job, but even if they are 99.99% efficient, which is pretty damned good, that means 173,000 letters go astray each day. As I said, never my bills.

    No problem.

The rail line getting robbed is attached to the LA/Long Beach port facility, so international is implied, but guess that factoid is in my head, so I was the one to introduce that confusion.

I have been alerted to the fact that our overseas folks often refer to package delivery as post or postal as part of the vernacular, whereas in the US is it is USPS. That one is also on me.

I completely fell down here. My humble apologies.

On small parts that would end up a break even, I let them keep it.

Integrity is more important than money. If I have my integrity, I can always make more money.
