Road Agents Rumble 2006 Dates

I've become concerned with the scheduling of the Road Agents 2006 Rumble in Hartford. Emails to the Road Agents go unanswered. Their webpage remains unchanged since last July. I'd certainly appreciate some input from anyone knowledgeable of their current situation. Regards, Ron

Was there any static due to the partying at the motels?

 

it would be cool if it didnt conflict with Syracuse so I can go to both .Proabbly not though....

 

Tommy, I didn't hear of any static at all. The man came through at one point and slowed things down, but that didn't last long. From what I've heard, that's about the only time in the year when those hotels are full, so I'm sure they take care of tuning out the static!! LSM

I thought that was so cool that when they showed up because someone got hurt ( not do to the burn outs ) they didn't hassel anyone, the best part was the games started up as soon as they left. I hope the hotels put up with us again that was the best time ever.

 

Usually the Road Agents Show is the same weekend as Syracuse: July 15??? this year.

I have to agree with LSM-

I don't know anything about what happened @ the hotels last year because I live about 5 min away and just went home after, but I do know that the hotels are NEVER full and hardly have any cars in them @ all - so they should be very accomodating and "look the other way" for the show since it is the only time they probably make a good amount of $$

 

i really wish all you skumbags would nock off your childish behavoir!! after a few too many diet sodas,and power walking i just wanted to relax with my bible and get a few hours of shut eye. so i could get up early and do some yard saling before the show! but no! i had to be kept awake all night with rubber burning, drinking, and cursing!! "jerks"

 

Did "the man"do a mini burnout like the year before?That was the funniest thing I've ever seen!

 

Absolutely, I find that "skumbag nock saling behavoir" most offensive.

I hope there aren't two of you - I could have sworn I was standing in the parking lot till 4 AM with someone that looked just like you. But then by that time a lot of guys looked like you (a couple of the girls too.) Of course once in a while you disappeared and someone looking just like you drove by in an old Mercury trying to accelerate at a tire blistering speed. Then all of a sudden you were back standing around drinking your favorite malt beverage.
Finally I got so confused I had to go to bed for a few hours.

speaking of powerwalking, diet sodas and bibles...i dont know many things in life that could have been funnier than heading in for the night and saying "nite" to glassguy and a few others...then noticing his awesome painted ledslead Merc BLASTING Ronnie James Dio with him, well....a few "sodas" deep. That was awesome...

"What the hell is that music?"......"Guess"......"Maiden??"....."Fuck no...Dio!"

Hey Dennis, When I saw you in the parking lot you were funny as hell. I hate to tell you bud, those "girls" you were eyeing, weren't. But don't worry, the Assguy doesn't mind a wandering eye!
I had to laugh when I went out to the empty parking lot in the am. I was worried about how much rubber I had left on my slicks cause I needed them for the Nostalgia Drags on Sunday, but no worry, it was all on the roof of the p/u. The thing was frikin covered with rubber crumbs!

May 21st? Is it that time for an OBT Open House already? Say it is???

Leadsled...did you ever happened to own a chopped SBF (supercharged) Merc or something close to it???

 

Although I DID just send the transmission for the 56 Premiere out for rebuild this week....

 

UnIOnViLLEHauNT, I owned a chopped 51 Merc that was running a Ford 390 that I sold a couple of years. I had it at a couple of the Rumbles. Is this the one your thinking of?

 

hey chris. the blown ford powered merc belonged to a friend of mine bob ellison. who unfortunately was killed last year raciing his chopped 33 willys gasser at the nationals in ohio. on a lighter note im bringing my sirius radio this year it will be on channel 23 "hair nation" i forgot all about the dio jam. i love all that doo wop and rockabilly but after 14 hrs of it and 300 beers its time to ROCK! (that is if im not doing my pilates)
