I'd like to Join or possibly start a tradional Rod and Custom Club in The Jackson, MI area. Is there anything closer than Detroit? How hard is it to start a club informally? O'brein Truckers has a mold for a Road Angels Jackson Mich car club plaque, and I can't find anything in a google search about how long they have been defunct or if they actually existed, but I'd love to carry on a name from way back when. This started as a conversation between myself and a co worker so between the 2 of us we've got a glassed bodied 32, a 30 model A, and a 65 F100, and a decent amount of mechanical appitude and fabricating ability. I'd love a little insight / encouragement. -This could keep me from ever finishing grad school-
Looks like they may have had two versions of their plaque ..... and unless the one without MI was for another Jackson. My "Hot Rod and Custom Car Clubs" book lists clubs from the 40's, 50's and 60's and the Road Angels from Jackson, MI are listed. Road Angels was a popular club name and there are 45 different club plaques with that name on this page on our website ..... ROAD ANGELS
Thanks for the info, I checked O'brien Truckers and they have both of those patterns. A google search doesn't turn up anything about the club, and I haven't gotten any feedback on here, So it looks like we'll pick a plaque and call ourselves a club.
