Was out at Target yesterday with the wife looking for a gift for a young cousin of mine...so I wandered over to the Hot Wheels section and found these...

    Road Rats Toys

These are actually marketed toward adult and, man, are they sweet!! For all of $2.69 at Target you can get any number of the 1/64th scale cars. They're so cool! I guess they also have 1/24th scale as well, but I didn't see those at Target!

    Has this already been discussed?

Target stores for me! Your right about the PT cruiser.

  7. wal-Mart used to have them... but I haven't seen them there for months now. I know target always has them though.

Funny about what ya guys said about eh PT... everytime I go to Target to see if there are any new ones there, if they havn't restocked all you'll see is four empty pegs with about 7 PT crusiers. [IMG] We;re not the only ones that hate 'em!

  10. Kmart has em too... They do have the bigger ones also and the bigger ones have interchageable wheels with your choice of wide whites and caps, or blackwall steelies... The bigger ones are really detailed and super cool

Well that looks nothing like a '40 Ford...but I gotta have it!

    ...off to Target I go.

  13. I love 'em and got a bunch of 'em too!

BTW,check out GMP's So-Cal '34 salt car. It's as gorgeous as the So-Cal belly tank racer they have out. $159.00 and well worth it.

Awesome toys. I love the new signature you damn fidgiter.

  15. Got a bunch of em myself but the second series hasn't arrived here yet. Love the Merc and the '40 coupe, can't wait for them to arrive.

Not at K-Mart or simialr stores here, only available from the specialty model car guys and of course that usually means we're payin thru the nose for em. But when ya just gotta have stuff coz it's too kool to ignore, I guess all sensibility goes out the window with the moths from your wallet. [IMG]

  16. I love that they use the same names a east la cholo would call their car, what next a" '49 Bomb chevy"?
    They use "Chopped Ford Mercury"
    that one says "Lincoln Mercury"
They are somewhat cool but the names get me!

Yea, I picked up their '56 Chevy in the 1;25 scale. Its the black/red version. About a year ago I e-mailed Jada Toys about adding in some Mopar and Ford product to their all GM line-up,... I'm wondering, with this new wave/series, if its their answer to my request.
DISCLAIMER, I hold no responsibility for the PT [IMG]

Hey, if it makes you feel any better, man...I don't own any of them yet, myself. I'll probably wait until after moving at the end of July to start collecting any of them.

I've seen the large and small ones at the auto swapmeets and some of those cheesy carts/stands at the malls. I live in So. Cal and see them at the Long Beach Vets Stadium Swap Meet and at the Block in Orange County. Very cool looking. I have an orange '51 Merc from Dubs but like the Road Rats '51 better. Saw one in red oxide primer with interchangable wheels. The body is the same as the Dubs one I have.

They make the 1\25th Merc in red oxide and black primer, got them both at K-Mart for $9.95 ea.. Got a bunch of the small ones as well. I find it funny that K-Mart carries the Rat series here while Wally World only carries the Dub series. Viva the Big K. [IMG]
