I searched but can't find any threads on this. Anybody got the details? It says it starts at 9am on the Road Rockets site. On the Brown County Dragway site it says Road Rockets drags "and regular schedule" or something to that effect. Does that mean that it's not a dedicated day for the Road Rockets event? If I get there much later than 9am will I miss the nostalgia drags and have to watch a bunch of Camaros and Mustangs? Finally, who else is going?
Hi Guys, hope this helps to answer everyone's questions. The track does open at 9am, we will be running all day and into the evening. Brown County has made a 2 day event for the weekend, this will allow for us to have more track time on Sunday. We have people coming from Ohio, Illinois, Kentucky & Michigan. In regards to other races, we will be hosting another drag race at Muncie October 1 & 2. We do two races at Muncie, fall and spring. This is our first race at Brown County and everyone is really excited about it. Our first race of the season at Muncie this past May drew 170 cars. The promoter was thrilled to have us all there. That is how/why we ended up with two races. Brown County offered us a date after hearing about our huge success at Muncie. You can go to our website www.indyroadrockets.com for the Brown County flyer. We will be at the National Guard Show tomorrow at the War Memorial in Indianapolis so for anyone who has questions we will be happy to chat. Oh, BTW for any of those who are concerned about running against newer cars at Brown County, have no fear, we will have our own group parking area and will be called to staging as a group, ie Road Rockets. This will be a flag started race.
This is gonna be a fun time. I'm bringing my '63 Galaxie. Tom Culbertson and Company just installed a new c-6 racing ****** and 8" converter. Hope we don't tear it up like we did the 4-speed at Muncie. Naomi...glad to see someone in the family has the balls to register and post on the hamb.!!!
Hi, if the planets all line up correctly my pit crew and I will be there. BTW - the Danville Cruise-In had a great turn out last nite - the Coopers were still there when we left at 10PM.
We all got to race until after 5pm today. The track was so accomadating for our group. Very lowkey no stress day for all involved. Andysduece got like 7 or 8 runs in and went to the semi-finals. How cool is that! A big thank you to the Brown County Dragway and everyone who came to race and spectate.

What an awesome time it was on Sunday! The Road Rockets would like to thank EVERYONE who braved the heat to lay some rubber on the track! Everyone was so friendly at Brown County and really welcomed us all. Keep the great pic posts coming so that all those who couldn't make it can see all the fun they missed out on. Again thanks so much to all of you who joined in on a great day of racing!
