me and vicsinner headed out after a long night fixing an axle leak in his f-100 to make the show for saturday. halfway there an adjuster for the rear brakes decided to pop off and there we were not stopping too well.....our thanks go out to a couple of cats from the choppers and another cc that i never quite caught(you know who you are) and the kids who let us borrow tools to get home safe. other than that the show was freakin great! we stayed up with eric and those kids in the atrium to a tidy 7 am with some good music and cold beers. we secretly dubbed thes show vlv midwest. can't wait til next time!

My stay was short lived. It was just way to fucking hot our there. As naked man said, "man, my feet smell like bacon." We got back on the road and into the A/C. I don't know how you Texas guys can stand that shit all the time.

I did have a lovely Frosty though.

don't know where she was from, but she had a lot of tattoo work on her back. gotta be 18 in indiana to get tattoo work done. so, with my brilliant skills of deduction, either she's at least 18, she's getting it done illegally somewhere, or she's from out of state (even better...hahahaha!) and you don't have to be 18 to get tattooed. it looked professional, so i don't think some hack is doing it in his kitchen for a 6 pack.

Man it was HOT! Yet somehow I managed to stay outside almost the whole day. Cool cars this year and I was suprised to see the cars in the yard out back. Good hanging out with everyone. No major problems for me, just lost a hub cap and a gas cap. Don't care about the hubcap, but it sure sucks to have lost the hub cap. Cool hanging with my Dad all day. He had a good time meeting all my friends. Pics to come...

Wowsa - looks like some great cars! Hey - that primer grey fenderless Rod there's 2 pics of - what the heck is that - seems to have some of the same lines as my 38 dodge . . . I was thinking of giving my 38 a fenderless treatment never before seen . . . but someone may have beat me to it ;)

It might have been if I could find it. I drove around for two hours looking for it or any sign of it. Even stopped at two hot rod shops in Indy (one of them on the road rocket rumble website) and asked guys in the parking lot - no one knew a thing. I did see one cool looking light blue RPU with some pinstripes on it on Sunday, but that was the extent of my road rocket show experience.

I can see I'm gonna need a rematch with a certain '36 Ford when I clear up my wheel hop! :D That had to look cool as hell. You don't often see cars like ours running off the stoplights like that! I'd like to think that I hung with that late model Camaro SS alright though. Thirteefjeohfaodvao, it's a good thing you guys all left early on Sat. You wouldn't have had fun anyway. And what about my most ridiculous hat award. Rick, did you guys really get hit by rain that bad on the way home? I'll be there Wed. Maybe I'll bring the go-cart.........and a helmet.

Hey, speakin' of dumbasses, we were on the way home Sunday morning when Mojo66 (Jeremy) passed me going the other way. Said he was finally going to get the pickup cab from Django's dad. I didn't actually see what he was driving. Maybe he tied it down to the roof of the Escape. Watch out for that first overpass!

my car had the hiccups about 30 miles south of mikes. at first i thought i was out of gas, but it kept running. i nursed it to the next exit, about 4 or 5 miles along the shoulder. we got out and i cleaned it out with a few revs. i don't know what happened, must of sucked something up.
we fueled at the next exit, took only 7 1/2 gallons(for a total of 17gallons used on the trip, 22-23 mpg, not bad for the hemi). crossed our fingers and headed back onto the highway with the understanding i'd get off at mikes if it acted up again.
right at rt10 is where it started raining and lasted maybe 6-7 miles?the car was running good so i stayed with it. even took 80/94, only bottomed out a couple of times through the whoop-pe-doos.
cheezburgers and sausage on wednesday menu. we'll watch the video. i'll see if i can't talk frank into bringing the merc out.

  29. oh hell no! she had some teeth missing. somebody was saying she was a stripper somewhere in town. don't remember who it was though.
