Followed me home. Took this photo between Springtown and DFW when filling up with fuel. Resting for a little bit at a Loves truck stop outside of Shreveport before we get some fuel and a bite and head the rest of the way back home. The List is now complete. We left Houston Ms at 1:30 after church Sunday
Crossed the river about an hour ago. Sat down for first time in 2 days and ate something and made what should be the last fuel stop. Should be back home in Houston Ms not later than 4:00. Again the list is complete.
Ah, I knew I recognized Springtown for a reason... Now I know whose car it was. Congrats on a cool 57!
Got home around 3:30 central. All went well. I am very pleased. I’ll inventory everything and clean up a few things. Get my paint guy to look at the fender and see how hard it will be to touch up and do the touch up on the stripes as well. I need to get windows in /felt strips /and door rubber as well. Gonna use the Elmers glue and wood stain trick to touch up the plywood.
The List was Mine and Micks list of cars /builds that we wanted before time p***ed us by. When Mick p***ed there were two not yet obtained. The Prefect was a subs***ute for a Thames. Until Gl*** Thames Doug and I made a deal. That left a 57 sedan delivery that we had chased a local jr stocker that eluded us. When I went to the tri five s this year I saw this car. Never dreamed it would work out that I would own it. Wish Mick was here to see the last two. Tell those that matter all you can while you can. The day will come when that is not possible. Build and run all you can while you can.
