Took a little road trip yesterday with my wife, son and his girl friend. After years of telling him to get an old car, he finally listened. We went to Las Vegas, about 450 miles round trip, and picked up this 64 Coupe DeVille. My son, his girl friend and the Cadillac. My son and me (you can't see me riding shotgun) leaving Las Vegas.
well that must be a decent runnin car if you didnt know a history on it and took off on a 200 mile trip home. glad another youngster is getting into cars. thats what it takes to keep it alive.
How cool is that for a great memory! I agree.... he got a good car to trek out without knowning anything about the car and having no troubles! I tried that once with a 36 five window ford Coupe that I bought in Lincoln, Nebraska and drove it home to Oregon.... that's a story in itself!!!!! took a week.... car troubles? You Bet!!! Almost had the engine rebuilt on the trip home by buying one part at a time as they failed!!!
We bought it from junkboy here on the hamb. The only problems we had were losing the tread on a tire while still in Vegas and a full tank of gas (22 gallons) for the 225 mile trip home.
nevada in the summer with no a/c. thats the second brave thing you guys did, right after buying an unknown car and taking a long road trip. has his girlfreind asked if she could get the keys yet?
