Still trying to figure out how i could make this clear when the flathead is dropped in. any suggestions????

Its a stop 35? ford box and location for how the steering is set up, it will work perfectly if i can make it clear a flathead, but i dont want the column to enter at a angle into the car, or to be too far to the left. What should i do? get a whole new box and set-up??

oh ya, the flathead motor mount should be exactly were the box is, the column might interfere with the motor/headers?!?!? get a 32-34 ford or chevy box, and shorten the shaft, bring it back about 1.5 ft, and go draglink, it will be much easier... just my thoughts,

p.s. ill bring you a steering box if you give me the coon!

I would suggest removing it and mounting the engine where it needs to be. Then you can change it over to what works. The narrow cowl may need a gear behind the dash and the arm out the side of the cowl.

And you need to realize a good part of the members are sleeping now......

Yeah the racoon is nice to select people. his names "Offy" hes about 2 1/2 months old. But yeah i cant believe i overlooked that the motor should be mounted right where the box is. I just wanted this to be easier then realistically possible haha

Get a 32-34 box and convert it to center type steer...then run it through the cowl. No clearence issues there. I have a few boxes, but 5wbomber just got my last spare unless you want right hand drive. I do have a nice 33/34 RHD box. The guy your getting the tub from may have a normal one too.........

    Man,

I'd watch that coon like a hawk...

He'll make off with your lunch, wallet, and girl! Those are some pesky critters! He wasn't posing for the camera, all cute on your shoulder, he was eyeballin' the fillings in your teeth! Any animal that almost has thumbs, can open a doorknob and make off with your PBR and peanuts, needs your respect!!! Looks like he has you all stitched up, Offy has your number... you are DOOMED!!!

Forget the gearbox, salvage what you can and run!

I'll take a big ol' fat earthquake to Offy any day!

    Cheers!
