That Roadster belongs to a freind of mine,His name is Bill Ruffner from Delmont Pa.The car was in hot rod magazine in 1953,Still wearing the orig paint from 53, Was also painted in George Barris shop in California, Not sure who the orig owner was,The car ended up in Pittsburgh, And was owned by Broughers speed shop, Then Bill acquired the car a few years ago, And put it back together, Hope this helps.

The owner is not a HAMBer,is about 6'8","earth-tenured" beyond most and a really nice feller.
He drives his (four or five tasty hot rods that he builds himself) everywhere.
A real motivator for us "young pups."

Both you guys beat me by milla-seconds! I musta slipped my clutch?

By the way--the guy also has about 5 or 6 others that he built that U would be in love with also---hell he's 74 (i think) and 2 years ago he drove his T-tub with caddy power from Pa to Bonneville and back no top either!

If the owner is 6'8" then it's likely the tall drink of water in the 2nd picture. Light blue shirt. He'd be hard to miss.

    Nice lookin 28-9 A roadster.

When I was standing next to it someone mentioned that the frame may have been galvanized or something before painting? Anything to comment on that?

Between that thing and the Carillo roadster that end of the building almost had me in tears. Two very impressive cars.

"Earth tenured". Gotta love that description of the owner. Great car and sounds like a really interesting character as well.....Don.
