    Hey everyone,

I love this web site, I usually don't spend much time on the internet, but there's a ton of super talented crazy **** fabricators on here, and I'm now hooked on the HAMB! Anyhow, heres my project, it's taken me over 10 years to round up the spare time and parts. But its really close now, as of today all thats left is wiring and brake plumbing!!!!! So close, my wife sure is happy though, I can start working on the house again.
I'm lucky enough to fabricate for a living, mostly custom furniture and cabinets, but this is the first car I've done. It sure was fun!!!
Heres a slide show my wife did. She took all the pictures. There's a few steps she didn't get pictures of but you'll get the idea.

    Keep building,
    TK

  2. Hey, Bodger45, welcome to the HAMB!
And what's that body from? Now that's one cool ride! Great windshield, fits the look perfectly. Really like the final colors too. And what's that engine? You got one cool wife too, did she pick the music? Lester Young or maby Dexter Gordon on the sax? Post us some more pics when ya get it on the road!!!!

    Thanks allot!
The cowl, doors, and front axel came off a car my uncle built in the late 50s. He found the body in the desert shot full of holes. I think its a 1923 Checker it still had yellow paint on it in places. The motor is a model A with a 97 carb and lightened flywheel. The music
is Ben Webster Quintet from 1946. I'm a 40s jazz freak!!!
    Take care,
    TK

Awesome truck. I can't believe you just now found this place. The windshield and pipes are just excellent.

Your wife did a great job on the video too, and I really dig the jazz in it...

Damn nice work! That's a Hot Rod if there ever was one and a perfect example of style on a budget. I'll even give you extra credit for the presentation.:)[IMG]

The whole thing has a very period look and sound. I love it. Even the final pic with you in it....you sure that wasn't your Pops in that shot?
