After finding out some of my other "builds" are not up to snuff for the HAMB. I thank you HRP. I decided to "build" a roadster pickup. Being a Ford guy, it will mostly be ford parts. Making this harder it will be mostly a period hot rod. In a digital world all my parts are free, so the foundation is a '32 chassis. I succumbed to those billet guys and tossed in an auburn style dash The more I look at it, the more likely it will be scrapped. My Program is delightful. I can paint some wheel and then a minute later it has cured enough for a repaint in a different color. Finally some paint inspiration from DirtyDan even if it isn't close in color It is just so easy to change it all. Anyway, much more to come.
It depends on the wattage of the microwave. A 1200 watt does popcorn pretty quick, but a 700 watt takes much longer. Don
Im not a techie but I see the sense in using this to try things out without spending a lot of time and money.
Brakes are over-rated. If I have time this weekend I will add some nice finned-drums. It is great for trying out different designs and paint. I threw a bed on it last-night
"I threw a bed on it last night". Was it heavy? Did you invite your friends from World of Warcraft to come help lift it? How many gigs do you plan on putting under the hood? I hope you get it done in time for Comicon.
i guess thats one way to do it, but having a big pile in your garage another. maybe i've been doing it the hard way.
This is in principle a great idea. It'd be great to have all the parts normally used in a traditional build to design a rod before you actually build it to make sure everything fits and it looks good. However none of the parts you've designed look like any particular Ford part. And they don't fit together correctly. If they did you'd be onto a winner. Ed
it takes time alot of time to build every little part, so if it isn't visible I am likely to leave it off. Being over here in Hawaii parts are scarce and expensive. On a student budget, this is the closest I can get to nice clean hot rod. I see there are some detractors to a digital build. But If I need to make a part or rig I can see if it will work .and be functional. to satisfy Walls here are some drums I made. Ps: I will be going into engineering after I graduate. So I ain't no lightweight without a future.
The bed seems really off to me....to short heightwise.....I know how much work this can be. Can I suggest that you take a flat plane and put a picture of What you want this to look like as texture in the background....this way you get the feel right, using the background pic as a guide.. You guys are harsh. At least hes trying to fit in, unlike the Mustang guys that show up and tell us to get bent for being snobs.
