Hey yngrodder how are ya. Thats a cool roadster. Were you at the pileup?? Where is Taylorville? What kind of car do you have? There were so many people at the pileup i didnt get to meet all the HAMBers and i was wonderin if i missed meetin ya. Lil Joe
This may not be a popular post but unless those wishbones are solid forged steel, they don't look safe to me. They weren't designed to support the stresses you're looking at putting them in. All they did originally was keep the axle located. Imagine a hard stop, throwing the weight of the car to the front and say hitting a bad pot hole, curb or similar. I can see at least one of them folding up. But that's just my opinion. Dan
I was at the pile up but i didnt have a car there last year but this year i will have my coupe there The wishbone has had a lot of work done to it at a machine shop to withstand the pressure. the spring hanger is done with a adjustable spring perch instead of a bolt and then the wishbome was sleeved so the perch would rotate with up & down movement so the spring does not bind.

Dan [/ QUOTE ] Their alot stronger than you think. I've seen this truck at the "Blast from the Past" show in Denison for the past few years and it's running the same basic setup, spring might even set back further on the bones. Wish I had a picture of the front axle.
