i'd say it was a good show. well for me at least. i saw a ton of nice rods, customs, etc. the only gripe i have is the amount of cars that were in attendance. i thought there would be tons more there for show. anyone else have any input on the show?
Today is just the beginning. Its a 3 day event from what I understand. I was planning on coming up on sunday... Dissappointing? -Dane
The number of cars displayed wont change from today to Sunday. Everything is inside for the most part. Some really nice stuff though.
I thought it was a positive that the car count isn't so high. It really gives you a chance to take in the whole show in a shorter amount of time than at most shows. Plus, the cars that are in attendance are spectacular for the most part. It's well worth heading out. Nick

It was pretty good. My reaction to the first shows after Cyr bought the show from Tognotti was that Cyr favored quantity over quality, but there were some really first-rate cars at Pomona (favorite attached). Some differences from the NorCal location were: no Richard Zocchi cars, and far fewer bikes. Although there were several pretty zooty roadsters, I didn't see one that I thought was a slam dunk for AMBR. Hall 3 felt like the kids' table, with fewer exceptional cars. Combined with the bright lighting, this hall felt like a more amateurish show. I did think that some of the Japanese choppers were cool.
The '40 Merc in the previous post is a Harry Bradley design, built by Donn Lowe over a nearly 10-year period. Awesome. Also great to see was the Coachcraft Special, built before WW2 and just restored by Bob Mosier. Bob debuted it last week by taking it to Teddy's Drive-In in WLA on Thursday night.
One thing this show has in common with the old Oakland show: grey hair. I ran into a dozen guys I know, with an average age of Senior.
