    I'm impressed.

I coldest I drove mine was 30-32 F possibly colder with the wind chill factor and it was the most miserable experience of my life. :(

John, here a picture of mine. It's not a '32 but they should look the same. They velcro to the windsheild post and around the top and back. The bottom has an inside that snaps to the door panels and an outside to keep the rain out.

A local upholsterer in Richmond,Ma. made these for me.

I forgot to mention that he added plastic stiffeners near the windsheild post to keep them tight to the door.

The combination of these curtains and a big hole where the steering column and brake pedal go thru the toeboard keeps my wife and I toasty in 32 degree weather.

Kevs33, is your old friend Rod Guildford. It's his old car. I bought the car 4 years ago from a guy in Idaho and through the HAMB I found the original builder Rod.

Rod sent me some pictures of the car when he built it and some magazines from New Zealand that the car was in. He said selling the car after the 8 or 9 year build was the dumbest thing he ever did. If I ever sell the car he will get first crack at it.

He is a member of the HAMB, but I don't think he's on here much. His HAMB name is "348 Rod". Rod is now building a '32 coupe with a 348.

And yes the side curtains do work well, just hard to get in and out.

P.S. How did a guy from New Zealand end up in Canada? Roupe

Not a roadster, but pretty neat. They were NOS on a 36' Ford truck at my Early Ford V8 meeting a couple of weeks back.

  7. These quarter windows help in winter.
They get removed in summer and the back window gets unsnapped for a much improved airflow through the car.

They screw to the oak crossbow with two stainless sheet metal screws per side plus a #8 machine screw with stainless washer and stainless nylock at the bottom.

They do leak air at the back and top, but not as bad as you'd think.
Main thing they do is keep the blast of air off the windwings from turning in and hitting Sweetie in the ear.
Not as bad for me cuz I'm taller, but they help overall.

The ones you see in the pics are 1/8" polycarbonate - same as Lexan which is a polycarbonate trade name - but are too thin and will set up an aerodynamic flutter which would destroy them in no time.
That due to they are mounted roughly at the aerodynamic center of pressure.

Using 3/16" polycarbonate alleviated the problem.

If you make a set of these - or windwings - note that there is an ultraviolet coating on one side of the poly that gets oriented toward the sun.

Side windows may go in this winter.
Made the template, got the poly, just need to get about three hot rod projects out of the way....
