I am building my own windshield frame for my 31 Model A, can anyone tell me how much taller the windshield stanchion should be over the windshield frame? It appears the round part the top header slides down on is about 1/4" taller than the frame on most? I am talking about the red circled part in this picture. (This picture appears flat but that is the angle of the picture I am pretty sure?)

Thank you in advance for the help.

Bump? Can anyone tell me how far under the stanchion I should have the top of my windshield?

Model A are not the same! 1928-29 different from 1930-31, and 1930-31 has both a deluxe and a standard flavor. 1930-31 Deluxe and 1932 posts have the same critical dimensions (except for the detent that controls rotation on the lower post). 1930-31 standard is about 1-1/2" taller and the angle of the top mount peg is different from 30-31 deluxe/1932. The very first pic shows an A frame on the 32 posts, so don’t trust any of that.

I made just about all of the round part stick up above the top of the windshield frame on my 29. Good luck
