why would it work normally then nothing when lights on.hmmm

  4. Light bulbs and not LEDs?
Do the turn signals have a dual element bulb and also double as running lights?
What do you mean -byp***ed the harness for the rear blinkers ?

Good point! LED's take less amps and may not be triggering the flasher. Let's hope it isn't LED's he using.........................

When you have a twin element bulb( tail light, stop-turn light) if the ground is bad the power wich enters the bulb through one element prong looks for ground, finding none it then p***es through the outher element (back feeds) and seeks ground in another light witch has ground.....think of it as a maze the electricity gos in and looks for any way out......99% sure its a bad ground...good luck!

  9. Try some simple eliminations and see if the problem follows
    Swap bulbs
    Swap left and right wires
    That kind of stuff.

I know how it's supposed to be but I don't understand the byp*** nor the speedway rep verbals

Also make sure the dimmer element is your tail light and the brighter one is stop-turn..

the ground would be the metal piece that snaps into the actual light correct.

  12. The high and low ***s of an 1157 bulb are the ground, the outside casing.
Then you need to play the "socket connected to the,,,, " game.

You also want to be sure the side that doesn't work with the lights on has the turn signal wired to the bright filament on the bulb. If the tail light wire and the turn wire go to the wrong filaments, the tail light will be too bright to see the other filament flashing. If the wires are correct, hook a jumper wire to the bulb socket and ground it to see if the light works correctly then. If so, you have a bad ground for the taillight.

If you byp***ed the wiring harness, does your brake lights work, and do they work when the turn signals are turned on? Gene

  14. If you left the brake lights out of the turnsignal switch (if that's your byp***) then nothing will work like it's supposed to.
