Hot Rods Roadtrip wheel tire combo for the 36

Changed out the 38-39 wide 5 pattern hubs and drums to 40's 5 on 5 1/2 BC.
Mounted some 165/80/15's and 235/75/15's on 15x4 and 15x5 steel wheels powder coated black with 40 caps and rings.
Call me a wimp but I like radials on long road trips especially at speeds. I've done a lot of road miles on both radials and bias-plys and would just rather not fight bias plys on them 600-1400 mile roundtrip journeys.
I still like the feeling that bias-plys give of having "TO DRIVE" a car around town and short trips and am waiting to get my 16x4 wheels back from the powder coater that will be red and have W/W 700x16's and 450/475x16's on them with caps and rings. Gary

 

You're not a wimp...makes total sense. Besides hairshirts are uncomfortable as hell.

Well, there goes the neighborhood. Radial tires, will those radir wheels be next. Just kiddin bro, two lane roads and bias plys at speed are not fun. Nice to see your personal touch on the 36, you always have the coolest rides. ~sololobo~
