My buddy Mike Lavella gave me a copy of this book and it is awsome!! I recommend everyone swing out to this event so they can get a signed copy. Cheers-Dave
In the unlikely event anyones goes, ask him if it was the UK Low Flyers that rekindled nostalgia hot rods (as reported by Pat Ganahl in Street Rodder 87) in the early 80's rather than him please? Just interested in response that's all as he's aparently single handedly responsible for the current world wide interest. Cheers Gotzy
"one of America's most influential underground artists", who is this guy? That pic on the cover was used on one of Bob Drake's catalogs, I believe. "underground" what does that mean? Along the lines of Robert Crumb in underground comics or what? "underground" along the lines of Trosley's ****o cartoons in Hustler and now in Street Rodder and other car pubs??
A trend started in England doing with cars.... come on. Yous joking right? Just kidding . It is kind of strange how some people claim to have started or made great this car thing we all love so much.
Go back and read the magazines and look at the genuine back in the day photographic evidence. Rather more credible than the claims some individual has made.
