I read on another thread about carbs about a small ball under the accelerator pump in the rochester 2gc carb. W/O it, the pump would not work properly. Might have been written by Bruce Lancaster, I'm not sure, and couldn't find it again. According to the carb rebuild instructions, some have them and some don't. I put one in the center carb under the spring that is in the accl. pump hole today, and I get a real good stream of fuel now. Before, I got just a dribble. Anyway I just want to that Bruce, or whoever wrote that bit of information, because this has been a problem ever since I have been trying to run this rochester tripower set up. Thanks, Bob
The early 1 Barrel Rochesters are like that, too. In '55 or so, they switched to a crimped-in check valve.
