Does any one know what has to be done to the end carbs to get them to preform properly. I know the fuel idle circut need to be pluged in the base plates. Do the end carbs need the power valve?

Also what main jets would be a good start in the center and on the ends.

    SBC 350cid 275hp

    Thanks for your help

You'll need to run the idle mixture screws all the way in to close out the idle circuit, remove the power valves and plug the holes with some lead shot, and remove the choke housing and shaft (You can plug these holes with the lead shot too). Be sure the throttle ****erflies have not been drilled. You can start with some 60's in all of them and go up or down a couple of sizes from there.

i think you need a different power valve in the center carb, i was told to use a power valve out of a 4g., i'm in the middle of setting a set up myself.

The end carbs need the ****erflies changed and lapped so that they will seal eliminating vacuum leaks. You can buy the bases already modified or buy the throttle shafts and thicker ****erflies and do it yourself. I did my own. There are several places that sell the kits to convert the end carbs including the bases and replace the power valve in the center carb. Some people don't like Vintage Speed but they have always treated me just fine. He was very informative and helpful while supplying everything I needed in a weeks time to my door.
