just got my 3-deuce setup on the Dirty34 completely tore down and rebuilt (i didn't do the rebuild myself, took 'em out to be done)... now they're back and running sweet as far as i can tell... one problem though...

i have a small leak from a port directly under the float bowl... its a small port that hangs from the bottom of the float bowl and is located between and above the idle mixture screws... if i let it sit overnight i get a small pool of gas sitting in the manifold and if i am patient enough i watch and wait and see a drip form out of this port... the outter 2 dump carbs have this port totally blocked off...

question is, should i just go and block this port off with some JB Weld or something like that? is the middle (main) carb needing this lower port off the float bowl? pics attached.

any help would be appreciated. she seems to be running fine now aside from this annoying leak... thanks in advance.

i'm pretty sure that's just a plug,to cover where they drilled some of the internal passages.
JB might work for awhile.what diameter is that plug? maybe you could drill and tap for 1/8" NPT and screw a plug in.

If it is indeed a plug you might try gently tapping it in a little with something that fits square in the plug. Maybe it's just not seated good. If you want to use some type of patch I think I'd try a little bit of that gas tank epoxy instead of JB.

Of course I guess the best deal would have the carb guy fix it, but that's probably gonna be a big hassle or you wouldn't be asking here.

    Good luck!

I would say take it back. It is just gonna turn into a bigger noosance. Small cracks ,etc a carb guy just sometimes cant see. Gas can leak in places that you just cant see to the eye. I sure cant wait to see that truck again. It has been in hibernation to long
