Technical Rochester Quadrajet

Well I've now bought 4 for the grand total of $100NZ.
Two are complete and two are parts only, so I should be able to make two really good ones from the parts.
All I have to do now is make a manifold! Stay tuned in my build thread....

 

Had one on a 455 Pontiac years ago; at the time, Brad Urban of The Carburetor Shop was the go-to person for Q-Jet tuning and rebuilding. Car ran great with a recurved HEI and MSD box...even managed to get 19 mpg on the highway out of it!

 

I run a stock 85 Chevy truck engine with a Q-Jet in my 48 and it has at least 100K miles and still works great.
