Looks like a better day up there, than we had down here today. Very wet. First and sixth pics should be familia to some here, as this truck was takin for a holiday in the States, and KiwiKev has featured it here. Nice to see Grease Martins red 32 there, I only read today about his tragic shed fire, and that he got burnt getting cars out. Never met him, but know he's very well thought of, and hope he's healing well. Gotter love that blown Ardun. Phone pics look great from my phone, got any more?
Day started with drizzle, but cleared by the start of the open day. No more pics as I was only taking a few to try out my phone. Most cars were gone when I took photos. Possibly 150 cars there.
Yeah, Grease and I go way back. Over 30 years, actually. I got a quick Email from Golly yesterday about it, but don`t know all the details. I hear he pushed the Dragster out, then went back for the Coupe. Don`t know about the `36. Anyone know anything more?
The artical I read said he got two cars out, but I heard the 36 was saved too. I think it said there were three cars still inside, and some motorcycles. http://www.nz-hotrod.com/vbulletin/showthread.php?10420-Bad-news
People talking yesterday said that the 'salt' roadster and a dragster were lost and also a lot of memorabilia. The '36 roadster was elsewhere. - This of course is only talk/rumour, and I cannot confirm this.

Here's the link to the article. What a sad turn of events. Sorry to hear of the loss. http://i.stuff.co.nz/motoring/74894439/man-burnt-trying-to-save-dragster-in-shed-fire
^^^^^^^^Rumoured to be the red '32 3 window in pic above. Saw him at the Rocket open day, but never talked to him.
