You're welcome - I'm only too happy to help a fellow hot rodder :)

Looks like I'll have to extract the digit and get to the Chopped show, with my young girls in tow :D If for no other reason, than to meet a bunch of HAMBers and see some really neet hot rods. Next year it must be my debut year

If you need the trim rings for theadlights, try OTB gear. I picked up a pair for a couple of sets of Guides I've had for years with missing trim rings and they fit absolutely perfectly.

Looking forward to seeing it at Chopped.

You might want to file finish those puppies before you fit these.

I love the car, but is that the A8 or the M31 you're driving on there?

    ;)

  16. oh come on. Its clear this needs a set of iron cross mirrors and a old letterbox air cleaner to really complete it! ;)

    Looking really good D. :)

  17. Charlie, you can get the trim rings here:

    http://www.otbgear.com/HeadLight-Accessories-C5.aspx

There's also the other small parts available.

Chopper at John's Rod & Kustom might also stock the parts. Pretty sure he's got the headlights.

    No.

  20. Who makes the other ones? The full headlights John has must have been about $300 last time I looked.......of course, I didn't look too long! Figure I can handle my $40 original pair with the rust holes!

Looking darn good, but why the "sport Coupe" quarter panels? Was that because they were what you had, or because you prefer the lines of those quarters to the roadster quarter? Whichever the answer, the car is bitchen!

Thats how the body came when I brought it. I don't mind the extra room, It's much roomier than my chopped closed cab lol . Thanks Charlie

Because of all the bulls%&t rego laws in our state, I have decided to put a flathead in my roadster. After having a conversations with a few different engineers, they require me to have disc brakes  burst proof door locks, collapsable steering, inersia reel seat belts bla bla bla. So I decided this would be the option, its not bad, now I think it fits in the forties theme a lot better. Next will be wide fives. :D

  27. Despite the change to the flathead, still looks great, and will be a refreshing change, great to see its progress.

Looks good now, get the plates on it.

  29. Lookin good Charlie, though it sounds strange to me that you'd need disc brakes, burst proof door locks, collapsable steering, inersia reel seat belts as none of that stuff was used or even available the year the engine was made. I thought it'd be classed as a modified production vehicle, no???

Thanks for your remarks guys. Bob the engine capacity has been increased by more than 15% there for you need to make the extra improvements, besides I kinda like the sound of the flatty. :D
Anyhow the rocket will not go to waste.
