Any pointers on stopping nuisance leaks on new installed 324 olds valve cover? Leaks at the hold downs and cover to head gasket. I snugged up the bolts but I don’t want to dent them. I’m planning on removing and putting a new gasket, proper cover clamps with probably a cork gasket under the factory style clamp. Any valve cover gasket recommendations? If my dad was alive he would be my go to. IMG_5614.jpeg IMG_8585.jpeg

I think you’re on the right track. I have a hard time with stamped covers. Ended up with a thick cork felpro gaket

Thanks, I probably wouldn’t have thought of that. I’m thinking of coating all surfaces with non hardening permitex. Kind of an old school thing my dad would do
