ha ... Just so you know chilidawg, Jamie calls you my husband.... -no homo. oh and Fake spindle mounts are about as attractive as RichardD...
man this thread is old! what in the hell was I so bitter about, sorry about sounding like an jack ***, didn't mean to.
i have both spokes and et fakes! guess i will give my car to somebody so they can fix it right. obviously im an idiot for having them! My car ****s
It's just my opinion but I have to side with II funny, chopt55bc, and need louvers on this one. The "new" spoke rim looks like someone opened a catalog said said i'll use this axle kit, and the spun aluminum tank with fake fuel lines and oh yea these "g***er" front wheels. They didn't do it back then. Besides until the late 60's you had to have front brakes on a g***er and the original spoke wheels were spindle mount, no brakes. Even if you go with "new" production wheels there are more accurate choices. Team III E-T makes an aluminum five spoke that is very close to the magnesium American Racing, and there is the aluminum copys of Halibrands from a few companies in either the kidney bean or the sprint style. Again it's just an opinion but I would think those wheels you said you like would cheapen the look of a bad *** car.
These wheels aren't bad looking at all to me. 60s period correct they aren't, but that's not the wheels fault.
Here is the Original Intent. The modern, street versions of today are imitation. Fonzi jumped the shark.
