I woke up bright and early today, and skated through the ice-covered streets of Plymouth, Michigan to RocketJ2's Secret Hudeout to load up the 49 Chevy for the trip home. Got it loaded and shipped okay...then right off the trailer, one rear wheel locked up! Spent my afternoon discovering how those primitive rear drum brakes go together (and more importantly...COME APART!). Threw the shoes and hardware away...wheel rolls free now! A bonus shocker was that my old geezer neighbors LOVED the car...maybe they won't be too offended if it sits in front of the house for a few days!! Got a long, rocky road ahead...but it'll be a cool rusty cruiser this Summer!! (Took pics with my antique 110 camera...probably have 'em up for ya by mid-week!) Thanks Jay and Donnie...you guys RULE!!!
Thats Kicks Ass FH. You missed a awsome day of HAMB and Bench racing but getting a car excuses you...This time!
I will suggest that next time there is a Flint area get together, we will hold it a Hardees just for you. Hope the car goes well for ya!.-Joe
Yeah, I wanna make the breakfast too... hardees does sound good. No prob Greg, just be sure to take care of it... if ya water it, maybe it'll grow into something COOL!!! Jay
Just a note here in the strickest of confidence. The next HAMB outing is being planned for a trip to the Ionia Rod Shop. Please don't let ANYONE know untill we work out the details with Matt and His dad. So you understand now FatHAck absolutly no one is to know about this untill I say, ok. Oh shit if anyone else reads this they are gonna find out what we are up to.
All I gotta say is I only saw Greg take 1 picture, and remember fellas *and ladies, CRACK KILLS!!! Jay
