I think everyone's cool with lunch, especially since it sounds like we will be having folks drive in from surrounding areas.

 

lunch works better.... that way i can be my lazy ass self and not worry about getting up early on a weekend...

Alright! I guess cabin fever has already set in judging by the great responses (in less than 24 hours). I've been thinking of this for quite a while now and I think it will be a fun time.

I looked at where everyone is and did some map triangulations so it looks like the most neutral spots wind up somewhere in the Beloit / S. Beloit, Rockton, Roscoe triangle.

Thanks for taking the bull by the horns and getting this rolling. Are we looking at just lunch and drinks or does someone live near that we can make a little garage crawl? or wait on the garage crawl till we get our cars outta hibernation. I wish i was closer and could help getting the ball rolling on finding locations...

Unless someone steps up with an offer I figured we would just have the meet and drinks. Besides who knows how crappy the weather will be? Plus two weeks after our meet is the polar cruise so there will be some crawling then. Hopefully we can continue this well into the busier months!

 

Thats closer for me. Ha ha ha West side has everything. Maybe brunch at the Don Q inn. We could get a tour of all the fantasy rooms there.

Terrible news about the house! I didn't know you were in my area. I work at Blackhawk and 251.

 

holy cow....sorry to here that man!!!!

 

It got the shop, garage and house. The family and pets all got out healthy and safe, so we're thankful. Insurance is a good thing, though. Both of my little british cars were in there, but the modified was off site, so it will get back in the limelight when this is all aover.
How about meeting at the Stockholm Inn on Charles st. if Rockford is the chosen city? It's big, cheap and serves damn good breakfast. They are downright hospitable there and have seperate rooms that may be obtainable for just such an event. did I mention that they're cheap and yummy?

That sounds like a good posibility....i've been to the Hamb and Grits in GA, and they hit the same place every week 2nd week and are put in the back area, kinda outta the normal customers way....basicly to keep people from hearing all the BS thrown around. Seperate room would be a good idea
