    Good Lord!
    Love the cars and trucks!
You said in your intro that you could be opinionated...well, looks like you earned the right!
Great stuff thirtytwo. Looks like if I have a question about pulling the guts from my 32 body, you might be just the guy to talk to! [IMG]

Stick around...your gonna fit in just FINE!

hakerbilll: i guess i came off like a know-it-all which i feel im definatly not, i have learned a lot in my short time with hotrods but there is tons more to learn, something new everyday, i just am opinionated in what i like and what i dont, but what i like someone else might not that what makes it great, all i care is that its safe and you can drive it, period...... ive learned quite a bit about 32s ask me i might know , if i dont ,i might know someone who does...

One thing struck me looking at this thread. Have any of you encountered a restorer who bemoans the fact that HOT RODDERS just ruin old cars? Take a look at some of the photos here. Do you think a restorer would bother with some of this JUNK? NO!! I still believe that if it weren't for rodders a lot of the old cars that survived would be just a memory.

    Frank

[/ QUOTE ] you got that right 15 yrs ago hotrodders wouldnt even touch some of this crap! they would be just parts cars...now this stuff is getting fixed.... ,i think the more on the road the better!, i have found resto. guys pretty accepting of trad. flathead hotrods , but its a totally differnt deal with a high zoot street rod, especially if they get shown a "before pic "of a cherry orig., they go into orbit!

  6. Looking at the pic that Rocky post of the rusty pile (of what some think of as junk, and what we see a potental). Makes me think of my dad talking about his Uncle taking a running Model T to the dump ground to have them bulldozer it under with the trash. I don't understand why he did it, what I won't give to have the T now.

Nice job on the rods everyone.

Here's my mess! And no, I won't be running white letter tires! Those were freebies that are the right diameter. I didn't tell "tire guy" NOT to mount them letter side out, so.... [IMG]

I wasnt funnin w/anyone... it helps to post pics and INFO... and what you'r really doing other than what you hate... i can bitch and moan about what I hate all day long and it gets me nowhere... That approach tends to keep people away.

    NICE TO SEE THE PHOTOS...

and heres my pile its no '32 but i doubt anyone else would touch it [IMG]

I agree we're keeping more of em on the road~~ theres no way you would ever "restore" this old coupe

looks like you have alot of experience and info to contribute here. Looking forward to seeing more~
    welcome aboard-

Hmmmm....Tucks response got me to go back and reread your intro.
YUP. You DID overdo the attitude!
I think you now realize we aren't as shallow as you were lead to believe!
Just don't ASSUME things and you'll be OK.
You wanted "in" but you assumed you wouldn't like it here. WRONG, weren't ya? LoL

Keep the attitude you show on this thread and I think you'll fit in fine. [IMG]

ok last time i want to talk about that stupid intro.... maybe i came off wrong maybe people read to much into it, i dont feel i should have to justify my feelings , i came from minnesota land of 10,000 street rodders and 95 percent are blue collar do-it-yourselfers that have no attitude and are happy to talk cars with anyone... i come out west and incur tons of attitude with the young rockibilly types i would get slammed alot cause i didnt fit in , all of the suddenly they see what i drive or build and im acceptable, which is BS..........,if i posted some of my cars with intro i might not have got slammed like i did ,but why should it matter... if i can build them or not ,i am fustrated because people make out the whole car deal more than it is, the end of the day it should be just about fun, and its just a car.. maybe you can build a better car than me ...big deal... it still has four tires, and shouldnt make you a better person or worse person, its what we do.... not who we are...,rocky, 29eh,hakerbill, and others didnt judge me, they saw what i wrote didnt read to much into it, and accepted me as another car guy pics or no pics which is the way it should be... again i want to talk cars get, off the soap box!!!! for the record tuck everyone i know starts with stuff exactly like that!, your not that special... Hey I have seen that cabrio around here. He bought it from a guy in Iowa. Just went through it and freshened up the mechs. Neat car, didn't know it had that much history.

I am really glad ta see other people out there that can see the potential in coupe like that. Now that mine resembles a coupe, people ask if it is fer sale, they laughed when I brought it home.
