Rocky, If I'd made any money at the swap I would have bought this one for you. it had 83,000 original miles and was a damn straight car. I have a 56 chev bel aire parts car that could have given up the roof. the guy had lost his storage and said if it didn't sell (and it didn't) he was going to cut it up and off to the crusher. I'm sure $200 wiuld have got it home
$200 and no-one bought it? Jeeze, for that kind of money you could cut off the roof, DP-90 it with a leopard skin interior and be way ahead of the kats with the 1960s Sedan DeVilles in the Rockabilly scene! On a serious note, however, that's one of my favorite cars and it makes me sad to think of it going to the crusher. It's just a set of chromies and a 3x2 389 from being my perfect sixties hot rod!
yeah 83,000 miles and it runs and drives, I just didn't make enough to buy it for Rocky and I don't want any more stinkin, projects.
Holy*****! 200 bones and it didn't sell? That's insanity! I'd have taken it too. Probably a good thing you didn't scarf it up tho. I can't have more than one project at a time with my limited room and resources but still....200 and nobody bought it...thanks for thinkin of me. This is one of my old ones...
you would have sold it for 400 to double your money.haha I'm just jealous of those that can make money buying and selling. I just get a hardon and buy something that I really like then hold on to it for 20 years then sell it for less than I paid 20 years ago. I like your method better
That would be a perfect canidate for a idea I have... Putting a 4dr hardtop roof on a 2dr hardtop. I prefer the size of the rear window, and how it's "thicker" looking. It would be a great start for a custom...
I don't suppose you saved his contact information? The rockers on that car have me drooling and there are a couple tri-five Chevrolets in junkyards around here with decent roofs...
