Rod and Custom Magazine, anyone else have problems this month?

Has a T-bucket and a custom F-100 on the cover. Both old famous show cars. Good story on each one.

Haven't got the last 3 issues. When I call- they say my subscription ran out. However- I have checks to prove I'm good until 12/2011. Their attitude is unbelieveable. They know you aren't going to fight something like this- not worth the effort.
I'll never buy one again- subscription or newstand. Fuck them.
This has happened before- once with OT Super Chevy & with Car Craft. Dropped them both. Happened with Street Rodder too but they gave me 2 years free for my trouble. I'll renew with them. Only ones I get now are SR & TRJ. That's down from about 8 per month. They don't have to worry about the slow economy hurting biz, they are pretty much fucking it up themselves.

I got mine, at Baker's I don't subscribe to it...But I've got just about every issue!

Not to hijack,but I find it interesting that the local Books-a-Million keeps maybe 6 copies of R&C on the stand,yet there's probably 50 copies of Ol Skool,Hot Rod Deluxe,etc...I'm not exaggerating,they're in several stacks....Does that say anything about newstand sales?

 

Picked one up at the store tonight. Not very impressive, I wasn't missing anything. Bastards got me twice.

 

Now I'm confused... I have the new one with the green Trojan T on the cover, but then I got a voice message from someone over the weekend trying to sell me a wall plaque with "your car in the new Rod & Custom magazine." I told him that was news to me. Is there actually a new issue out with my car in it? Haven't seen anything on the R&C website.

 

Dont really know if it matters, but I subscribe through http://magazines.com and always get my issues at the beginning of every month without fail. Could be your local mail carrier though..

 

Got mine two weeks ago and I'm north of the 49th.

 

can't find HOT ROD or Car Craft on the newstand , but there is always a pile of ol skool rodz and diesel power magazine

Don't fall for the wall plaque BS. If they copy my work I will sue them. I have no idea how those bastards get the number of the car owners, but they always find a way..in this case even before the owner sees his car in the magazine! Pass that number on to me..I'm gonna have a "chat" with the dick heads. Oh..and congrats mike! Just saw the issue today at work and stole it.

Subscribed early last year, have never received a current issue, had to contact them each time and get it sent out. they keep extending my subscription, GREAT EH!!
In the end I told em they may as well give me a lifetime subscription, as it means diddly if they don't send me the mag

 

I renewed on 12/30 for the price below. At $8.00 I could stand to miss a few and not care but so far so good.
