Technical Rod End Lubrication?

    I've been thinking of using "Johnny" joints (sp?) as they have zerks. I understand they are used on off road stuff and are pretty strong. Anyone? Gary

    There was a problem when I used to race sprint cars that the one with zerks broke at the zerk fitting.

    For somebody looking at the pics and decides that those cheap 2-piece rod ends are OK to use for steering and suspension

    They are kinda big.

    I have used them on numerous off-road rigs that see street duty, with success.

    I had them on my rig for over 10-years.

    I appreciate that. Just to clarify, I didn't build this rod, I acquired it this way, so I appreciate the sharing of wisdom from you guys with more knowledge and experience. I plan to make some changes very soon and those cheap rod ends will be going away. Thanks to all for their contributions to the thread, it's been very helpful.
