Anybody have some of the old issues? Not sure what one it is in but, one of them has article on a red 46 Chevy coupe. The article is called "Villainous". Anybody have it that can scan it and send it to me? Sell me the mag?
    Thanks

That was in RD58, April 94, Page 64. Don't think I have an extra copy, but I"ll dig around and check. If I come up with one I'll let you know.

Here's a scanned copy. If you'd like a better quality one I can make it at work tomorrow just let me know.

Curt, yea I thumbed through it and seen the chop article. Looked like a good article so I bought it.
Denise thanks, now I have to dig through my old pix. That skull on the lower fender and being from Ohio makes me sure I've seen it before, and have some pix somewhere.

Hey, cool! My dad did the chop on the SRB one! Looks like I need to go looking for a copy of that issue!

Your dad does some nice work! That's the first time I've ever bought that magazine, but I had to have that article...great tech. If anybody's chopping an early Chevy, between Cleatus' tech post and that article they should have a pretty good start!

Thanks, Curt Six! I hope some of Dad's skill will rub off on me. He sure has taught me a lot!

And thanks for mentioning the Cleatus chop. I dug it up and it's pretty cool. I'll need to read the full thing later.

Here are a few more pics of the one from Rodders Digest. I swiped these from another website, but it was a few years ago so I couldn't tell you where I found them...

This one won't be much help if you're trying to get an idea of chop/proportions, but what the hell...

Is it just me, or is the "old" RD one about 6 different shades of red/maroon? I noticed it in the magazine (it even shows up in the scanned copy on this thread!) and on the "web" shots Curt Six posted.

The car had some minor paint matching problems between the door and the quarter panel . . . the kind of thing that you had to catch in the right light at the right angle to see. But for some reason the film I used (Fuji) really picked up on (and amplified) the difference.

Ticked me off when I got the slides back, because the car is much nicer than what the pics show!

Paint matching issues aside, that car does have some cool lines!
