Ohhh well, I guess I'll be the first one to step in front of the firing squad! Not much new, doing the wiring, going to do some welding early next week w/ a bud of mine, hoping to get the top in primer this month, cleaned it up a bit, took off a bunch of stuff, changing it over to 12 volt. And I'm getting all of the engine parts together, so far, adjustable rockers, edmunds 2x2 intake, stude cop carbs, finned stuff, blah blah blah. Still need a '57 crank and rods, adjustable push rods, cam, you know.. Have to go slow, as I have about 200 shots due every 7 weeks, that's not including all of the other stuff I shoot to get those 200 shots, probably about 500 or so a session (every 7 weeks). Not making excuses, just explaining, I'll have it rolling soon though, I also need some windshield rubber, anybody have a used set?! In my brothers words, "Its a giant piece of shit, it's got a huge ass and it's taking up my garage space. Soon I'm going to piss gasoline on it and then light it w/ my ass. Someone, please, kill me." Hey man...i haven't done anything with the merc...their how'd you like that. It is awaiting parts for the body, while it sits under a barn looking pretty. I spent most of my time, when i wasn't trying to gradate, get a job, get married, rebuilding the flathead. So it isn't finished, in fact it is only a fourth way done. The one door side is roughed in, when i say roughed in mean it. The other isn't. it will rule when the bells toll. aight. tok
i dont know about poorboy, but peter is pretty swamped with school shit all the time, and only half his car fits in his garage! i'm sure he'll get back on it once his school schedule mellows out.

hey guys i'm still here! here's my update: Well the 54 is FINALLY running! My buddy wired up the whole car and it finally starts with a key! I plan to finish the brake lines tommorrow and hopefully drive it at least around the block. As far as the chop goes it basically needs just the finish work. The welds are all finished and I have the roof area hammered out pretty good. Just need to throw some Evercoat? on it. My dad's been slacking on welding the inside up though and i don't trust my welding "skills" enough to tackle it myself. I need someone with welding ability to come by my house and learn me something. The front glass still needs to be cut down. The headlights still need to be frenched. And then all the body work. This is what i've been up to. I've been working on my car so dont think it was a "HAMB Chop-a-car-for-someone-who-will-not-work-on-it-themselves-a-thon!" I actually met some guys into cars so it's been going faster now that they're helping me out. That's my update so far so please dont send the HAMBCHOP Enforcement Crew! I will definitly be pulling up in it at next year's HAMBchop!
