Hot Rods ROLL CALL!! FOR JALOPY SHOWDOWN 2016

It don't look good at all, rain with temps in the low 60's. I'm prepared to make a pass on this one.

 

I still want to go but might have to take the daily. Right now I do not have any tires to replace the slicks.

 

Is there an indoor display area ?

We lucked out last year, the storm came late Saturday.

I just watched the weather , sat. to be a wash out, heaviest rain in southern PA. Sucks!

 

Just checked the weather, Sat is sandwiched between two 70+ slight rain chance days. Sat 90% rain and 56*. A near miss !

 

i'll have a little vendor spot selling parts..... rain or shine i'll be there.

undecided on vehicle, my non-hamb 77 ford custom wagon (van) if heavy rain in forcast.

 

I'd like to go, but it's not looking good for me. If so, I'll be in my 41 Chevy.

 

I'll be there... in a raincoat.

It's the Jalopy Showdown! It rains. We have a blast. Repeat.
We'll be there as usual Friday through Sunday rain or shine!!!!!!!!!

 

The weather is not cooperating, thats for sure. I feel bad that Larry and the Jalopyshowdown staff have worked so hard to make the event happen that I just made a donation to Garland@JalopyShowdown.com. I sent them $15 for my ticket in abstentia and some extra to cover paypal fees. I'm helping what I can in the hopes that they'll do it again next year with picture perfect weather.
Anybody else?

Heading out there tonight. A little rain won't hurt. Lots of laughs to be had Friday night.

 

All the best to you guys and gals going the distance. Counting myself among the fortunate being 20 min away from Latimore. I'll probably buzz up there today in lieu of actually working. Then maybe drag Chevydudette up there tonight. I may be ugly, but my gal aint!

 

We're heading out tonight from Buffalo along with a few others from the Knockers Car Club. Look for me in the green 59 ford wagon.

 

Looks like I'm heading up early tomorrow morning with my boys. No roadster this time. Its tight as hell with all three of us and I'm pretty sure they won't like the rain and cold!!

 

Wow did the weather suck!! Saw a couple cars that were posted as heading there but didn't get to meet anyone I didn't already know. But there were still a few bad ass rides there. Here's hoping Jalopy drags are dryer!!

 

When did the rain start? I went, at least the rain stopped for awhile.Wasn't able to stay real long, left around 11:30. A little muddy but a great time. Saw a few cars listed on the threads but no one was around them to get to meet them. Try again next year, maybe mine will be done. Always hope for a good weather at the jalopy showdown at BSD in the fall. I will be there.

 

If it stopped it wasn't for long. It lightened up a bit around noon then came back solid till at least 3:30. Rain or shine I won't miss this show again, except next year I'll head up on Fri instead.

 

Me and my brother made it Friday and then the rains chased us out.

I had pretty much decided not to go but, some friends of mine (one of whom had not been before) wanted to make it so, I tagged along. We met up with Dave, who was a first timer as well. It was sloppy and wet and we all felt sorry for Larry considering that the turnout was obviously down but, we still had a good time. Spent more time in the museum than usual, enjoyed that, watched a few cars make passes before the track simply became too wet. Congrats to all of the die-hards who did make it, I'm sure Larry appreciated them. Let's hope for a beautiful day next year for the Showdown. Keep the faith, especially you guys who came for the first time yesterday. Stopped at Chubby's on Rt. 15 in Emmittsburg for some chow on the way home. All in all, a memorable day.
