A NOTE: To Remember my old friend JOHN FINN. If you have ever been out to his house you know how many old cars he had on his place and loved them too. he loved History.
He just passed away a few days ago. He was 100 years old. The man spoke his mind always.
if you dont know who JOHN FINN Was. Read up you may be surprised.

Good Knowing John ! I will always remember him.
    John Finn an Unlikely Hero.

    P.S.
The Word Hero is passed out too easily these days. A Hero is NOT just someone who was there!!
John was there but He did something to Earn that Title.

When I went to Boot Camp in SD, the school house was called "John Finn Hall." A great man and one hell of a Sailor. He was awarded the CMH for his actions on 12-7-41.

I grew up hanging out at a friends Father's junk yard. He was a Korean War Vet with a bad eye and short temper but he taught me a lot about pulling parts and working on cars. We kept our old junkers running with parts we were going to pay for out of our check that he never seemed to remember.

He passed away while I was away in the Navy during the Viet Nam era and his Son and I are still friends.

USMC 1997-1998 got to be the shortest time in the Military. I ended up breaking both legs in a training accident. Loved the Corps still do. Still do logistic work for them on appearances for publicity functions.

Dad is a former Marine from Vietnam. Then signed up for the Army because he was bored. And the closest Marine reserve unit was two hours from home.

Grandfather was wounded in Korea as an Army Grunt. He loved it as well.

My father in law is a Bronze Star , Purple Heart recipient from Vietnam.

Any one who served in any branch is ok in my book.
