I told everybody about my service now I'll tell you about the ones who influenced me.
Grandfather was in Pattons Army and won a silver and bronze star, two purple hearts. My other grandfather was in the navy, Pacific theater and had two ships sunk from under him. A Kamakazie ended his military career but he lived a lot of years and was the first to let me drive a car, love ya Pops!!
Two uncles served in the Navy in the late 50's and one in the Army in the late 60's. Two cousins were Marines, one was in Beirut when the barracks was blown up. One served on the Honor Guard in DC for awhile, both enlisted as privates but retired as Captains. Two of my brothers were in the Army, one went to Desert Storm. Four cousins were in the Army.

Thank you to all the above who have seved and are my brothers and sisters and thanks to all the old hot rodders that fueled a spark in my young heart and set me on my path with destiny.........old cars.

USAF 1985-1988. 47250 Vehicle Mechanic. Second Moblie Aerial Port Squadron, Little Rock AFB. Budget cutback "voluntary" early out, got volunteered.
I worked on Tactical Aircraft Cargo Loaders, 25k Emerson Cargo loaders, Case 13k and 10k forklifts, those Blazers and 1 ton 4wd pickups you see, M35 Duece and a half, M932A2 semi tractors, Cochran commercial aircraft loader, and a few more.
When on TDY's, slung chains with load specialist, loading and unloading C130s, C141s, C5As, KC135s.
I worked with a Vietnam vet, that taught me a lot about building hotrods and fab work. Also had the opportunity to work with a South Pacific WWII Navy vet.
I met a neighbor that was in the aircrew that flew "The Hump". Didn't like tigers or tell many stories. WWII. Helped carry him to rest.
